Sales Support Specialist

Department: Sales & Customer Support

Reports To: Customer Support Team Lead

Location: Boğaziçi University, Teknopark (Hybrid)

Our cloud-based software, the SEQ Platform, has been used in over 30 countries and trusted by more than 450 hospitals and laboratories worldwide. With over 300,000 samples analyzed to date, Genomize plays a critical role in the accurate diagnosis of patients with rare diseases and the development of personalized treatment strategies for cancer.

 

Role Overview:

As a Sales Support Specialist at Genomize, you’ll be responsible for executing sales support activities and managing client accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

 

The position involves a range of pre-sales and post-sales duties, requiring a technical understanding of our products, strong organizational skills, and effective communication with clients and internal teams. You will collaborate closely with our sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless client experience, acting as a bridge between internal operations and the end users.


Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related life science field; an advanced degree (MSc/PhD) is preferred
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role is preferred
    • Professional fluency in both written and spoken English
    • Strong foundational knowledge of genetics, with a willingness and demonstrated ability to learn advanced human genetics
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficiency in using office suite software at a high level
    • Prior knowledge of bioinformatics is an advantage, but not required
    • Willingness and ability to travel 30-50% of the time, both domestically and internationally


Key Responsibilities:

    • Acquire new customers for our current and upcoming products while maintaining our existing portfolio
    • Conduct on-site visits to support clients, strengthen relationships, and gather feedback
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and achieve company goals, in a positive and collaborative environment
    • Regularly perform business analysis focused on the improvement of sales processes and results
    • Monitor market developments and new trends, and share insights with the team
    • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients
    • Represent Genomize at national and international scientific conventions and meetings
    • Manage the resolution of customer issues by coordinating with internal technical and commercial teams to strengthen the relationship with customers
